What schools and PTAs use it for
Plays, concerts and showcases
Set ticket types and a cap for the house, let families buy online ahead of time, and scan tickets from a phone at the door instead of counting paper stubs.
PTA galas and fundraisers
Offer ticket tiers, give sponsors or staff a promo code, and see sales and attendance in one place when the evening is over.
Fall festivals, carnivals and family nights
Run free registration to manage capacity, or sell family passes so one ticket covers a household, with each family member's name on the roster.
Events just for your school community
Use an access code so only families, staff or members can buy, and share the code in your newsletter.
Features that matter for your events
- Family passes. One ticket for a household, with names collected for the party roster.
- Access codes. Restrict an event to the people you share the code with.

- Post-event surveys. Ask attendees for feedback after the event.

What it costs
Creating events is free, and free events cost nothing for you or your attendees. On paid tickets, buyers pay a flat 75¢ per ticket plus card processing, shown before they pay, and your organization receives the full ticket price.
| Spring school play | Eventbrite fees | Eventfold fees |
|---|---|---|
| 400 tickets at $10 | $980 | $552 |
These are the total fees buyers pay at checkout, assuming one ticket per order. Eventbrite's rate (3.7% + $1.79 per ticket plus 2.9% processing) is from its published pricing as of October 10, 2026. Other platforms also price for community groups, so compare totals for your own event in the fee calculator or see Eventfold vs Eventbrite.
Get started in four steps
- Create a free organizer account.
- Create your event: dates, venue, ticket types and any caps or codes.
- If you are charging for tickets, connect a Stripe account to receive payouts. Free events don't need one.
- Share the event link, then check people in with your phone on the day.
Common questions
Does Eventfold cost anything for a school or PTA?
No. Creating events is free. On paid tickets, the buyer pays a flat 75¢ fee plus card processing, and your organization receives the full ticket price.
Do we need a Stripe account?
Only to receive money from paid tickets. Free events and free registration don't need one.
Can we limit an event to our school community?
Yes. Add an access code to the event and share it with the families or staff you want to attend.
What happens if we cancel or refund?
You can refund individual tickets, and cancelling an event refunds every buyer automatically. Refunds return the ticket price and the buyer's fee share.
Is Eventfold established?
No. Eventfold launched in October 2026, so it has a smaller audience of ticket buyers than the big marketplaces. It is built for organizers who already have their own audience of families and members.
